An innovative twist on a traditional sauna.

Improve heart health, detoxify, soothe sore muscles, burn calories, and relax. Some studies even suggest utilizing the sauna helps fight off illnesses.

Total Health’s IR Sauna is a SoloCarbon® infrared sauna. Not all infrared is the same. Sunlighten’s patented Solocarbon heating technology delivers the highest quality and quantity infrared energy for clinically-proven effective health benefits.

The sun emits a wide range of light, most of which we can’t see. Remember the first time you saw a prism transform light into a rainbow of visible light? Infrared is the invisible light just outside the prism next to red light, thus the name “infra (below)" + “red.” Sunlight is 52-55% infrared. It’s all the good parts of the sun’s healing light.

While nobody knows exactly when humans started using saunas, there’s written evidence of an early Finnish sauna that dates back to 1112. Since then, the popularity of saunas has exploded. Instead of steam or flame-stoked heat, infrared saunas use lamps and electromagnetic magic to create warmth. The process allows infrared saunas to operate at a lower temperature while still providing therapeutic benefits.

According to the Mayo Clinic, “Many studies have looked at using infrared saunas in the treatment of long-lasting health problems and found some proof that saunas may help. No harmful effects have been reported with infrared saunas. So if you're thinking of trying a sauna to relax, an infrared sauna might be an option.”

So, you want to give an infrared sauna a try? Dr. Tyminski offers these recommendations:
